Agreed.  Fun story with Tom Atkins + that ending >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> dumb Michael Myers sequels

At to think that Carpenter could of given us a bunch of those if people hadn't bitched about the change back in the day

You can tell how much he absolutely didn't give a shit about the uneven story in Halloween II. Apparently he was drunk during script meetings.

Would've been great to have more movies with the actual focus on Halloween and not Myers. Now we can only hope Trick 'r Treat 2 will be good and persists as a series.

Samoa moobies watched:

32. Halloween H20: Twenty Years Later - 6/10 RW
33. Halloween: Resurrection - 1/10 RW
34. Halloween (2007) - 7/10 RW
35. Halloween II (2009) - 7/10 RW
36. Trick 'r Treat - 8/10
(with Betty Boop's Hallowe'en Party as an intro and Chainsaw Maid/Episode Zero as an intermission)
37. Halloween III: Season of the Witch - 8/10 RW
38. Father's Day (directors' cut) - 8/10

Still love H3, but damn it really starts to drag toward the end, something I feel more with each viewing. Some tighter editing to make it 7 or 10 minutes shorter would've been nice. It's what holds this movie back from being 9/10 stars in my opinion.

I watched Gozu. I was under the impression this was a horror movie so I was kind of put of at the beginning when I thought it was another Japanese Yakuza movie. Then the weirdness kicked in. Silly

The Horrorthon has practically ground to a halt. The girlfriend's mom and her mom's best friend came to visit last weekend for 5 days, and with work and such, we haven't been able to get much viewing time in. Kinda sucks 'cos I've only shown her one Coffin Joe movie and was hoping to do the whole trilogy this month. Oh well. Saturday we're hopefully gonna watch three or four movies.

Also, I had these plans to show the girl some other movies she's never seen before, but she keeps picking all these mainstream and often non-horror movies, leulz. Good times have been had, however.

39. Beetlejuice - 7/10 RW
40. Night of the Seagulls - 6/10
41. Scream 2 - 6/10 RW
42. Ghostbusters - 10/10 RW
43. At Midnight I'll Take Your Soul - 8/10 RW
44. Carrie - 9/10 RW

I rated Scream 2 higher this time but still don't really know what to think of it. Feels very rushed, and none of the sequels are worthy to smell the ballsweat of the first movie.

Grotesque: 4/10 - A shitty saw knock off sort of movie. At least it was only a little over an hour long. :p

The Mangler: 7/10 - I enjoyed this. I mean the premise was sort of silly already so the whole tone of the movie is kind of funny. Robert Englund certainly hams it up.

I've noticed I have a propensity to rate movies I saw long ago 3 stars if they didn't have any particularly large impact on me

I generally rate as I go so the rating is honest. :p

Yeah, unless I know a movie is a bonerfied classic in my book and give it 5 stars, I don't bother rating it until I've seen it again. So most everything I saw like 4+ years ago isn't rated (nor often even listed as Watched). Just simpler to rate as I go, because even if I did love a movie before, there's no guarantee I will now anyway.

If you faggots can pull your dicks out of each other's butts for a few minutes, you should check out the puppet show my friend's band put on last Friday.

By the way, I was describing Trick or Treats to Jess and she was getting a headache just from me explaining the movie. I can't wait to subject people to this next year. The thing doesn't even turn into a horror movie until the final 30 minutes, and there's only one kill in the whole thing. The comedy falls completely flat and the lead kid is the worst child "actor" ever (he's just the director's kid, not anyone with any real aspirations). There's also no pacing or well-thought editing, it's just "here's 90 minutes of nothing happening."

I love it.

Coulda used some better tit shots, but at least there's some nips through a shower curtain. The director made porn (which explains why it's so shitty) so I'm disappointed there weren't boobs and Richard R. Pubinstein galore.

We watched Halloween on Halloween night, and I had one beer and began drifting in and out of consciousness ever since about the halfway point. Last night, we watched Halloween II and I remained awake. My November horror-o-thon is off to a better start than the total of my October run of approximately three quarters of one movie. I have that recent Blu box set and wife wants to watch all the Halloweens (she's never seen any of them). I'm pumped to see HIII for only the second time, and I love IV and V from what I remember, and I've never seen VI but Wife-o has the mega boner for Paul Rudd so that'll probably mean that she'll give her boner to me since I'll be the only one sitting next to her during the flick. Then the rest I remember sucking or haven't seen and don't really care.

Also have the Friday the 13th Blu box set on order (that is if DD's shitty on-site inventory actually comes through. I bought two things listed as "in-stock" and got cancellations for them a week after the order because the "manufacturer no longer makes this product," and now on the store the Ft13 set is listed as back-order, but I haven't gotten a cancellation e-mail for that...yet). She's never seen any of those either, and that's my favorite of the bigger slasher/horror major studio series, so that I'd be more excited for. We already watched the Nightmare series I think last year and that was fun. I have no interest in Saw or Texas Chainsaw Massacre, don't think she does either. Probably prefer to just watch random schlocky crap. She LOVED The Beyond, Street Trash and Zombi 2, so I'm hoping to retread some of my favorites from the exploitation/giallo/horror b-movie genres as well as acquire some new ones. Opera, Suspiria and Stagefright are obviously top priority.

I figure if I rewatch them I can go back and adjust

It's probably my favorite series overall when it comes to what I consider "the Big Four" of Hollywood slasher series. I love four of the movies (the first four), which I can't say for any of the other series, and I really enjoy some of the others. However, the series also has some of the shittiest turds in all four series, like Jason Takes Manhattan/Goes to Hell/X. Fuck those movies and fuck 'em hard.

It actually looks like the bar graph on my home page has a pretty good bell curve going, so I must be doing something right. Assuming you call a 3 star movie average, and that most movies are average.
