I really didn't enjoy Lanegan's vocals. Felt bad in kind of a LULU way. The delivery is weird.
Rabia Shaheen Qazi's vocals work perfectly though. Even if she kinda feels like a Diet-Jex Thoth.
I also like the opening track in that it's decidedly heavier than the last couple of albums. Kinda wish the other tracks followed that style even more than they do.
I miss the cello too. If it's there I can hardly hear it.
Definitely a good album. Changes just enough to keep them still interesting.
