Their last album was absolutely horrible. I liked Kezia and Fortress a lot, but I'm pretty done with this band. Last album showed they were fine with rehashing 100% and not doing anything new, well, or memorable. I don't know how anyone liked it.

This is my first time hearing Protest the Hero. What the fuck? I thought they were a metalcore band or something, but this is like progressive/power metal with a modern rock aesthetic.

This is okay, although I wish the song had less of a modern rock vibe to it. I think the vocals are mainly what gives it that feeling, as well as the happy feeling the riffs during the chorus have.

I've never liked them even when people were jizzing over Fortress.

I really enjoyed Kezia and I'm so so with Fortress. It depends on my mood whether or not I like listening Fortress. I rarely listen to that poor excuse of an album known as Scurrilous.

This song wasn't too bad. Sounds better than most of the material on their last album so I will probably give it a shot but I am not expecting anything amazing.

I won't try to defend their last record because I understand the hate, and I only enjoyed parts of it myself. Still though, I've always really liked PTH and the new song sounds promising as hell.

I liked the first half of Fortress. I may have listened to the whole thing once or twice. I remember deleting half the songs from my iPod years ago because I always got bored with it.

And I think I read the lyrics to 'Bloodmeat' for the first time today. Man... that shit is fucked up. And worst of all it's true.

Bloodmeat was a really good song. First time I saw them it was I believe Whitechapel, Protest the Hero, Acacia Strain, and then Unearth headlining. It was a really good show at the time because it was right as Whitechapel was putting out This is Exile, TAS was putting out or just had put out Continent, and PtH was putting out Fortress. All of those ended up being my most liked albums from those bands too.
