You know, I haven't really talked to anyone about this.  But holy shit does that movie look terrible.  From the looks of it, it is World War Z in name only.  Fucking zombies running up each other to reach the top of a building?  Pfft... fucking zombies think they're the bugs from Starship Troopers.

I'll still go see it just to see what they did with the book.  My hopes are very low, though.

I've heard good things about the book, but the trailer looks really annoying. Not only does the story look dumb and the zombies look silly, but I generally don't like to watch stuff with kids freaking out and crying, like the trailer prominently shows. It bothers me.

I don't really have a strong opinion on it since I've never read the book, but when it comes to zombie movies I'm generally all for them and at least always have fun with even the bad ones.

This reminded me of one of my good friends. I was showing her one of my favorite movies, and about half way through it she told me she automatically hated the movie because in the middle a kid dies. She apparently can't enjoy a movie that has children dying, even in this case where it was accidental and not murder. I guess it was for the best we didn't finish it because a few more children (including pretty much everyone in the movie) die by the end of it.

My cousins want me to go see it with them. They've read the book and are stoked for the movie. I really don't give a shit either way. I am at an impasse with the whole zombie fad thing.

It's not quite the same thing. It's not so much that I don't like seeing children die or anything (Silly); I just find it annoying to hear kids scream about things. I saw the World War Z trailer three or four times in theaters recently, and each time I had to hear that annoying girl scream and cry. It's partly that, and also that it feels like a cheap attempt to manipulate the audience's emotions (which makes sense, since it's a trailer).

Yeah, I figured it was more that, but either way it still reminded me of my friend.

I've never read the book, but from what I'm hearing about people that have, this doesn't look anything like the book at all. I don't really get the point of basing it on it then...

That aside, I enjoy zombie flicks. But I generally don't like it when the zombies are fast/strong. My expectations aren't very high for this but I'll still go see it most likely.

I like seeing children die in movies. In fact in movies where htey have a chance at killing a kid and then they pussy out on doing it I usually like the movie less. Perfect example is Man On Fire.

I heard they filmed the movie and then decided it sucked and then started over again. If that's not a warning signal I don't know what is.

However, it must be said that Brad Pitt has NEVER been in a bad movie. So I have some hope.

He's been in bad movies.

And what?  I never heard that they made the movie and then started over.

Not too sure of this one. I might see it on the weekend. I used to really enjoy zombie movies but I have gotten a bit burnt out on watching them. I haven't seen a good one in ages. I doubt World War Z will be amazing but it might have some decent points about it.

It says it's from Dear God No.  Never heard of it, but it looks like a movie I'm sure Abz owns 5 editions of.

Name one. You can't. It's impossible because it's never happened.

Thelma and Louise, Cool World, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Burn After Reading, Mr And Mrs Smith, Happy Feet Two, and probably World War Z

This isn't even counting all the shit he's done before he got famous that I've never seen.  And even after his fame... he's been in a fuck ton of movies.  There are bad ones in there, I'm sure.

I don't get why people don't like Burn After Reading.  That movie is hilarious.

Yeah, I'm a Brad Pitt fan because he's almost always a good actor and usually picks to be in movies I enjoy a lot.  I wouldn't say he's never been in something bad, but still just him being in something usually will make me think "That could be good."

I can agree with Mr. and Mrs. Smith though.

I'm not saying he's terrible.  He's one of my favorite actors.  I'm just saying he's been in shitty movies.
