I've heard the new deafheaven once. I really enjoyed each individual song, but I felt like it was a weak album. And that's a shame. I'd take Roads To Judah over it.

I just came across Чёрные Озёра (Romanized; Chernye Ozera).  They've put out a couple older albums that all sound fairly hit and miss with fairly poor production, but they have a new album coming out soon that sounds incredibly promising:



Really fucking solid atmospheric black metal but with some speed to it.

Has anyone heard the Hell/Amarok split? Ugh... the Hell side is fucking amazing. A lot of his stuff isn't on youtube. I'm thinking about uploading his stuff so people can hear it.

I wish. No tape player. I have the Thou/Hell 7" coming my way soon and of course hope to get anything he has at the festival.

I think the split with Thou was pretty good, but the Amarok is way better. Wanna get some rips, brah?

The new Retox is really good. I never was a fan of The Locust. This is one of the better Noise Rock groups around in my opinion.
