Holy shit, it really is as good as everyone says, and I hate RPGs.

Very, very, strong Game Of The FOREVER-contender.

You really should play Chrono Cross too, even though it's somewhat detached as far as story goes.

Chrono Cross is confusing as hell. Think I'll download it for PSP and try to beat it again though

In tems of greatness its up there with the best RPGs of all time only games that come close or above it are Final Fantasy VI and Xenoblade Chronicles.

STAY AWAY FROM THE PS1/PSN VERSION, THE LOAD TIMES ARRRGGGHH THE LOAD TIMES!!!!

^ That

Final fantasy chronicles and anthology are pretty much unplayable. Plus the DS version has extra bosses/endings

I'm considering picking up Xenoblade Chronicles. I've avoided RPGs because I'm not very good at 'em, but I'm having no trouble with Trigger so far (played it for four hours last night).

My brother's got the PSX version, lolz. I was gonna pop it in just to check it out and see some cutscenes. He also has those FF compilations. He saw 'em all super cheap one day (Target clearance, I think), so he figured, why not?

I'm playing it on the Virtual Console currently. I also own the DS version, which I'll play through sometime after I beat the SNES one. One of those things where I got the game 'cos of how infamous it is, and I always liked the graphics and music which really pull you into this world. And it turns out I'm actually enjoying it. :O And surprisingly not sucking too bad. But I've only made it as far as the post-apocalyptic future (I dicked around a lot at the fair, lol), so I'm worried of the game raping my butthole once I get pretty far and then I can no longer advance.

Brother's got Chrono Cross too, by the way. Suppose I'll try that after I've beaten this. I remember it looking pretty weird, though.

How can you not be good at RPGs?

CT is easy as fuck. It doesn't have insanely hard optional bosses like the last couple generations of RPGS have started piling on like crazy

Chrono Trigger is a very innovative RPG. I have got "into it" a few times, but have never finished it. I have Xenoblade pre-ordered and I'm looking forward to actually using my wii for the first time since Monster Hunter 3. I personally really dig the games that are complete bullshit at times and throw enemies your way that will tear you to shreds if you don't run away and learn to never go to that specific area until you're like 10 levels higher.

I haven't played Monster Hunter in a while. Whenever I get my copy again we should play sometime. Me and possy played occasionally.

I'm down, but my classic controller is fucked up. Will probably buy a new one with Xenoblade. + I have like 0 gear. I didn't get too far. Bought the Wii voice thing for it even

My last character was lvl 30-40... but it's been so long since I played I'd need to start a new character just to learn how to play all over again.

To this day I have never played Chrono Trigger. I want to get myself a Super NES copy at some point though. I don't want the PSX version because of the load times, and I don't want the DS version because I'd prefer the original translation, as well as being able to play it on a TV.

Just download the SNES emulator for the Wii or download it on Virtual Console and you can play it on a TV practically identical to the original.

:O:O:O:O:O

Beats paying $60,000 for a used cartridge.
