This one

I enjoy those other albums too but I feel they are largely overrated. They are full of too many skits and there are a lot of filler songs. At the time it was released I was really disappointed with 2001 so much so that I got rid of it. Later I downloaded it and listened to it again and liked it a bit more, some good songs but still a lot of filler. Tongue

Is that song about weed? It's pretty subtle.....

He said his next album wasn't going to be about weed since it's played out. Oops.

I like how Kvarforth always says that the next album is their "darkest and most black" and then it ends up being their lightest and most accessible album.

It's been a while, but isn't VII considerably darker than VI? Except for the ballads... oh. wait. damn.

I've only listened to IV and V. Any of their other material worth checking out? Heard bits and pieces of vi and vii, but neither really impressed me

III is great, especially Fields of Faceless. I like VII a lot more than VI. VI is pretty boring, but VII has a lot of cool proggy stuff going on. And I mean traditional prog, as in moogs and mellotrons and shit.

Monarch!'s new album came out this week and I think that is amazing. So far, it's looking to be my favorite out this year. Really love it. I think I read somewhere that Bloody Panda might have a new album this year? That would be really awesome.

Not sure if someone has mentioned it but Gojira's new album will be out this year.

They're tight, bro. They got a lot of hate because of their very first EP which was pretty crappy deathcore... but after they decided to play actual death metal they were pretty decent. They're one of the few death metal bands I don't mind anymore.

Their first EP wasn't that bad. His pig squeals on Entombment Of A Machine were pretty sick.

I'm hoping they continue with that tech influence that was starting to come out in Ruination.

Also, new Dillinger Escape Plan album is out this year.

I prefer Genesis to Ruination. Can't really recall what their last EP sounded like. I think I only listened to it once.

I listen to Genesis a lot more but I think Ruination was a better album in general. I never listened to Gloom. They only released something like 2500 copies of it and I don't think it was distributed outside of America.

JFAC has gotten better with each album. I think Gloom or whatever it was called was decent. Not worth 7 or 8 bucks (I think that's how much it was at music store), but it's not bad at all. I haven't heard any of their upcoming album

New Rise And Fall, new Narrows

both are about to be top tier hardcore albums.

New ETID is pretty sikkkkk

This year is going to be really good for music. I can tell

I'm keen to pick up ETID's new album.

The new Nile album is on the way as well this year.

Herbst's new Joy Division-ripp off-project is pretty promising too:
