Yeah, I've got a stack of about 15 of those from Darkroot Gardens.

I should probably go farm more...

That's an alright amount to have if you're trying to clear out the whole area. But chances are you will revisit blight town so getting more is a good idea.

She's a fun boss fight. Getting to her can be a pain if you don't have the rusted iron ring. I got a little bit frustrated as the range on her charged up swing is pretty crazy and I expected it to be about the same as her other swings

Yeah that ring sounds nice. Fuck, it may be worth me going back to get it though I really don't want to go through all of Blighttown and Depths again. Ugh.

Is there an easier way back? Perhaps through that waterwheel thing? I haven't explored up there yet.

Yes. Take some ladders and that wheel up. Follow the lights as they will direct you out. Hopefully you have Master Key or you find the key to the gate back to New Londo which leads back to Firelink.

so I decided to just give her a shot one more time before backtracking to get that ring. Summoned Maneater Matilda or whatever and just fuckin raped. Played much more defensively this time and let mandated keep her attention. Cake. Nowe I just made it down to ash lake. The great hollow was the worst and I would not have come down had I known what was down here and that I'd have to go back up the great hollow. Fuck.

I first did the Great Hollow while watching Poltergeist 3. Now the pain of both of those things is like one compounded memory of hate Evil or Very Mad

I hope some of the zones coming up in the future get better. Starting with Darkroot Gardens they've just been getting worse and worse.

Almost to the boss in Sen's Fortress now. That zone was fucking frustrating. I think I've wasted about 10 levels worth of souls in there from making stupid mistakes, falling off a ledge or whatever.

I was fighting the trick treasure chest demon thing that drops the Lightning Spear, backed off the tiny edge in the room and dropped to my death, then when I return the chest is no longer there, so I'm SOL on the Lightning Spear it looks like.

Lightning spear can be created too. Don't recall which color mats it is though

I don't have much use for it anyways since my magic capabilities are super limited.

I'm pretty rolling a straight up melee build. I have a shitty short bow that can hit for 20 damage, and I have the first rank of Soul Arrow for magic. That's the entirety of my ranged arsenal.

I think I'll be focusing on a spell caster primarily for my next character.

Lightning spear is actually pretty useful, but I believe it can be crafted as j said. I'd try to get black knight weapons if possible. If not, go get the gravelord sword. Shit can chunk certain enemies really hard and it's pretty awesome when you cause toxin on an enemy in pvp..it also can do really wimpy damage on a couple enemies in the game. But I basically have just used gravelord sword+lightning spear most game

Gravelord Sword looks pretty awesome so I just might go get that after I'm finished up here in Anor Londo.

It's a little slow, but if you get a jump attack on someone it can be pretty devastating.

I prefer slow. Big hits are fun, though it can be frustrating to miss.

I'm using a Zweihander +5 Raw right now. About 14 more points in strength until I can use the Dragon Greatsword or the Dragon King Greataxe in one hand. Not sure if I'll use either of those though since it costs 100 souls to repair for each strong hit.

Just got the Gravelord Sword. Catacombs was really easy, but I think I was quite over leveled for it. The Pinwheel boss died in 3 hits lol.

It is not quite fast and powerful enough yet to make up for lacking the knockdown/stagger effect of the Zweihander. I think I'm going to upgrade the Gravelord with a magic type upgrade, maybe go Divine for the undead zones... I'll have to take a look at what the zones are like that I've got coming up.

You can only get the Gravelord sword to +5 which I do recommend. Get it upgraded asap and it'll be pretty good.

Finally finished it. Level 90 I think, maybe 91 or 92.

Holy fuck that last boss was underwhelming. Only took 2 tries without looking up any help or anything.

Debating on if I want to do a new game+ but change up my guy to caster focused, or if I want to just start fresh and go caster.

I still haven't beaten the game :l But yeah I hear the final boss is pretty easy. Can be parried and countered. Demon's Souls had some much harder bosses

Should I play Demon's Souls before I play Dark Souls?

Yes. Idk if Demon Souls servers are still up, but if they are we should do some bro op

edit: just checked and the servers are up.

Reason for playing Demon's Souls first is...there are some pretty serious improvements in DaS and going back to Demon's Souls may prove impossible. Kind of like going from Persona 4 to Persona 3.

DaS is 25$ online somewhere brand new. I've never heard of the site before so I can't remember the name. Search it up on cheapassgamer.com

There's really no reason to play Demon Souls with Dark Souls out.
