Downloading it right now. I have high hopes, as I've heard it's more like the original.

Anyone else getting it?

I'd like to get it, but will probably wait since I have no time to play it anyway. Which is OK, it will be like 20 dollars on steam in a couple of months. Tongue

It's pretty cool so far. I'm pretty biased since the original was one of my favorite games, but it's reasonably great so far.

I'd like to play Xenoblade, not bothering with Dolphin though. And if I'm gonna import I'd rather wait for the game to become dirt cheap over in EU. By that point we'd know for sure if NOA is even going to bring it here

I preordered Xenoblade, but it hasn't arrived yet. I'm hoping it does soon, since it's currently withing the 10-15 day delivery period.

I want to play Human Revolution, but I'd prefer to play the original Deus Ex first before trying Human Revolution. I want to start out with the original game.

Both Xenoblade and DE:HR are very high on my list. But I can't get Xenoblade just yet because my Wii is chipped and it'd require an upgrade to play it. As for Deus Ex, I'm hesitant as to which version to get. I've heard the PC version controls great with a keyboard, especially in the hacking minigames and so on. Since the original PS2 port of Deus Ex was so gimped I'm a bit wary. But, if I want to play it on my computer I'll have to wait until I get a new one because my ancient laptop would cry if I even put the DVD in.

Anyone playing the console versions?

Deus Ex was 35 for preorder on green man gaming and it's temporarily 35 on amazon (41 for augmented)

just in case anyone wants to buy it. digi download only. I want to buy it, but I need to try out a cracked ver. first to see if my comp can handle it

Human Revolution is a prequel though, technically you should play it first.

I prefer to play games in the order they were released, as opposed to chronological order. Hence why I played Metal Gear Solid 3 after Metal Gear Solid 2, and etc.

Yeah, even if a story is told out of chronology, it's rare that prequels actually work in terms of being an introduction. I mean, Metal Gear Solid 3 would probably not have made that much sense if you hadn't already known who Ocelot, Big Boss and so on were.

Either way, Deus Ex is one of the finest games ever released, and I think if you play DE:HR first you're going to miss out on some things due to the low fidelity of the original. Granted, a lot of what made Deus Ex awesome has been copied since (Bioshock owes a huge deal to it, for instance), but I figure you ought to play the original first.

The first Deus Ex feels pretty archaic but Kurt doesn't have a problem with that so go ahead and play it!

I'll play you multiplayer too.

Aside from the visuals, the original Deus Ex actually holds up pretty well. The gameplay has more depth than 90% of games released now a days.

Deus Ex looks like absolute shit on my computer for some reason. I know for a fact the game didn't look this bad back then. The colors are all out of whack. Seriously unplayable. Everything's too dark even with the brightness turned all the way up. Wish I could enjoy the game like everyone else. I'll take a screen shot one day

Finished Deus Ex HR

Not sure what to think..I can't say I had fun with it. The endings themselves were pretty meh. Of course I haven't gotten into any of the other Deus Ex games so maybe I'm not allowed to judge. Boss fights were shit and the 3rd one was just flat out stupid as fuck if you made a certain "mistake" previously.
