Picked it up today. I have to say that it isn't a half bad album. I know most people hate on Suicide Silence for being a part of the deathcore scene but they've made a lot of progress with trying to incorporate a lot of their influences into their sound. They still have that deathcore sound to them but it isn't anywhere near as bad as their debut album. I lol'd when I heard the song with Jonathan Davis doing guest vocals.

Jon Davis? I've got to hear that. It has to be interesting.

Holy shit they have Frank Mullen from Suffocation doing guest vocals on a track. I might check this out.

Indeed. It was cool when it first came out. Now it has less of an impact, but I still like it.

You'd probably like The Black Crown. Similar sound to No Time To Bleed. I'm still undecided as to what album is better.

It's kind of funny how that part with Jon Davis sounds just like a Korn song.

I liked The Cleansing more than No Time To Bleed, but I don't know if it's the actual song structure or just the tune/general sound that I like so much about it.

I prefer nttb to anything else by these guys. Sure, I only like 5 songs from that album, but those 5 songs are decent to interesting death-numbers with a psychadelic feel. From what I've heard, the Black Crown does away with that and reintroduces instead a more traditional deathcore with some hardcore/nu-metal melodies.

There is an undeniable nu-metal feel coming through some of the songs. Now that you mention it, I do miss the psychedelic feel.

Perhaps I was influenced by the music video for Wake Up, but there was a drug-related theme to a bit of the album. It added a lot of sway and swing to the motion of the music, and had motion with it. Plus, nothing in deathcore attains the sort of emotion that "And then she bled" has.

The drug related theme is continued on in The Black Crown but only lyrically though. Wake Up was one well written song. Even though the cop a lot of shit for being one of the biggest deathcore bands in the genre they are head and shoulders above the majority of the crowd in terms of their song writing and the inclusion of different genres within their sound.
