The Kingdom might be the best TV-show ever made. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0108906/

Honestly, I haven't seen too many of the films on that list. But I'd imagine most of them are good.

You should have some Bergman up there, tho.

Hey at the end of one of those episodes in the miniseries, is there a fucked up scene of child birth or an operation or something similar? I saw the end of something on this horror channel my dad gets one time and I couldn't for the life of me remember what the hell it was called. I thought it was a movie, but maybe it was a miniseries. All I remember is that I clicked the info button and it sounded interesting to me (something about a hospital or mental hospital with strange occurances) and I could have sworn it was danish. This sounds like it might be it.

I don't remember a child birth from THE KINGDOM. Granted, it's been many years and I'm sure von Trier would love to put that shit to film.

Genuine question: Why did you start CAPITALIZING the TITLES of FILMS? I'm not making fun of you, but reading this thread feels like I'm looking at topic titles on the vesti.

So the Kingdom is the thing I saw on tv. Just saw the scene in the fourth episode that I saw on tv. Yep, definitely a fucked up birth scene.

No Not the Movie Stupid sounds like a great movie, though I don't know how to render the italicized last word in italicized font. Like, unitalicize it, or put it in all-caps?

After you start reading a lot of academic film shit, you sort of pick it up as habit. plus, when reading sentences it's alot easier to discern THE KILLER as a title than the killer.

So the Kingdom has now gone from creepy suspense piece to lame attempt at comedy. Disappointing to say the least

That's what italics or quotation marks plus proper capitalization are for, dum-dum.

What, so proper capitalization and context would leave people clueless to the fact that you're talking about a movie? Cum on Eileen, now.

Besides, proper English (which apparently, "academic film shit" does not subscribe to) says that minor works of art and literature are in quotations, and major works of art and literature--e.g. FILMS--are either italicized or underlined.

Just finished the kingdom. First season was way better than the second, but it's too bad the third won't get made. The way it was set up it looks like the third season would have been pretty sweet. Oh well.

And to add to that: Names of ships are also italicized.

Shits terrible.

I once did a music project... and I was saying it was similar to Blood on the Dance Floor. Got 2,000 friends on myspace in one weekend.

Unrelated... but god damn.

I was just going off your don't give a fuck statement initially.
