| I was playing it again for the first time in a few years tonight and was blown away how fun it still is. On top of that, it's still looks fantastic. Some of the fire and lighting effects still make my jaw drop. The village at night in the rain/lightning = FUCK. |

| Resident Evil 4 is my favorite game of all time. I've beaten it 14 times and counting, and have played the side modes for hours upon hours on end. |

| One of my favorite games for sure, but the GameCube and Wii versions not being in true 16:9 480p peeses me off. Thankfully, it's being re-released on PS3 and 360 in 720p, and hopefully it'll at last be the ultimate version of the game with all previous content, best grafixes, etc.
Still, the GC/Wii versions rock some socks on a 480i tube television, lol. |

| Try playing it in Dolphin or PCSX2! Better IQ than the forthcoming "HD" versions if your rig can handle it. |

| 'tis an awesome game, but I've always hated escort missions, and RE4 is basically one big escort mission. |

| I think Resident Evil 4 handles taking care of another character pretty well. I never found Ashley to be a pain to protect (at least, not in a gameplay-harming kind of way). It's certainly better than the forced co-op 5 has. |

| Fuuudge yes, the PS3 re-release is tits. Finally I can view the visuals on an HDTV without there being a blurry mess. This is more what I had expected when I picked up the Wii version. (And honestly, had the Wii version been true 480p 16:9, I likely wouldn't have bothered with the 720p port.) |

| I have the 360 download, and it's generally okay, but the high definition actually makes some of the graphical "tricks" of the game more apparent. Stuff that I didn't realize were simply 2D sprites in the world, I now recognize as such thanks to the enhanced clarity, and the blurriness around Leon is really distracting in HD. There are also a couple sound glitches (most notably at the end of Chapter 2-3, when you shoot the Ganado driving the truck and he crashes, the engine keeps running long after it was supposed to stop, then it just abruptly cuts out), which is lame. It's one of the best versions of the game, but I still think the optimal way to play it is on a Wii hooked up to an SDTV. |

| I don't have one or know anyone who still has a SDTV. I guess I can't play the optimum quality level RE4. |

| I gots me a couple SDTVs. They're ideal for old school gaming.
One isn't actually mine, though, it's my brother's. :( He's letting me use it, but it makes me sad that it isn't mine, since it's big and has S-Video. I keep thinking about getting a widescreen EDTV with S-Video and component, but them things are expensive even now. |

| I have an SDTV in my bedroom, specifically for older games. The HDTV in the living room is for 360/PS3/possibly Wii U if I ever get one.
Ab, I'm referring to certain things that are off in the distance, in the background of certain areas. One thing that comes to mind off the top of my head are some of the rocks and other things that are in the water, like at the very beginning of the island. |
