Yeah, Skies of Arcadia is my favorite traditional turn-based RPG of pretty much all time. It's good to see some love for that one.

Damn StealthPanda, maybe we should talk video games more often. Oh, and since you probably don't know, this is galder.

I did not know that. I assumed you were from the boards though, I just had no idea which person you were. Tongue

And sounds good to me, I'm not nearly the gamer I used to be years ago before I went to college. I'm starting to kinda get back into it though, whenever I have the time.

So is the majority of the music that you admittedly love. Why do you love one ultra gay thing and hate another?

I like Final Fantasy X. The other Final Fantasy games are boring as shit to me.

X was my least favorite, and the last one I ever played. I still liked it, but not much compared to all the others I played (IV through IX and Tactics).

FFVII was the only one I've ever played, but it was awesome. I'm not a fan of the japanese style rpg's either.

I've played I, VII, VIII, X, and X-2. To me, X was the best. I'm not a huge fan of RPGs in general. Occasionally, I want to play something like that. Most of the time, though, I find it tedious and annoying.

Because there's good gay, and then there's bad gay.

I was going to post video examples, but there are none.

Good gay would be the Depeche Mode "Just Can't Get Enough" performance on Multi-Coloured Swap Shop.

Bad gay would be the performance art concert in the movie Beat Street.

IV - archaic
V - awesome
VI - way awesome
VII - good
VIII - pretty good
IX - decent
X - pretty gay
X2 - never opened it
XII - never opened it
XIII - never bought it

SNES games were sweet, then I gradually got more annoyed with slow ass turn-based combat and archaic gameplay. Plus the myriad retarded characters/stories/cultural divide mostly just baffle me at this point

And Skies of Arcadia was badass. I think I actually went through and found every item/map thingy/boss fight in the Gamecube version.

And I never played my copies of Lunar/Lunar II/Grandia. In fact I don't even really like JRPGS. I just have to retardededly hoard rare/valuable things. If someone wants to break into my place and steal all my PS1/PS2/GC/SNES games, you could probably make off with a fortune and do me a huge favor.

And to actually answer the topic question:

1) SNES
2) PC
3) 360
4) PS2
5) PS1

Nostalgia is a bitch

Would like to say that while RPGs are stupid, action RPGs are not. Illusion of Gaia and Soul Blazer kick so much aaaaaass.

I actually never cared for IoG. I bought it waaaay back in the day from a Babbages (or Funcoland), and it just never did it for me. The characters all annoyed me, and I didn't like the dungeons at all. Of course at the time I was playing the f out of Zelda and Earthbound and Chrono Trigger and Secret of Mana and FFVI and all that, so it was up against stiff ass competition.

I barely played Soul Blazer (and Terranigma) on ROM, but what I did play was way better than IoG

Speakin' o' Chrono Trigger, I see it just got thrown on Virtual Console. May have to get that if nothing more than for its LEGENDARY STATUS, but also because I have a genuine desire to stop sucking at RPGs and play the game.

But to illustrate for you how bad I am at RPGs, I kept losing at like the first or second boss in Earth Bound. I think it's because I find grinding really boring, so I gave up.

Chrono Trigger was one of the only RPG's that I've played that I enjoyed.

Final Fantasy VI is my favorite RPG ever (it's also the first one I ever played). I love EarthBound, but it is a pretty tough game. It gets easier as you add more people to your party, but it's still fairly challenging overall. I've never played Chrono Trigger however.
