I can't find any of this shit enjoyable. I listened to that Vestiges album and I honestly thought it was awful. Could not like it at all.

Any recommendations for someone who tends to enjoy groovier stuff? I'm wanting to get into this shit, but it's pretty damn hard.

Check out Amesoeurs if you don't like that you probably don't like shoegaze. There really is no kind of groove to shoegaze, its more of a wall of sound type of thing.

I didn't ask this on IGN because you ask for one specific type of sound and then 50 users assault the page with 700 different 2-track demotapes by 'super vndergrovnd/never-heard-of' bands and I'm usually just looking for essentials.

First track from this Amedoeurs album is good, but afterwards it was unlikeable. The clean vocals really ruin it for me. I was hoping for high-pitched screams faded out to blend in with the atmosphere, kinda like with Enslaved's Below The Lights.

Sleeping Peonies is good.

But Amesoeurs is awesome. Love her voice. I'm saddened that they are no more. BTW, they do have an EP that is pretty awesome, Blooge.
