Oh. So without them, are you going to cover the guitar / bass / drums / vocals? Or are the vocals only going to be from the female?

I'll be doing guitar, bass, and vocals. It will be male and female vocals.

Started doing really rough one take demos to help get piano parts and lyrics written. These are also done without any effect pedals... and just sounding really crappy plugged straight into a computer.

Also, "Point of No Return" is actually around 10 minutes long. That's just a condensed version. Will be recording another 10 minute song later tonight.

Holy FUCK "The Death of God" is awesome. The others are really good, but that one is just ... really really fucking cool.

Thanks. "The Death of God" and "Point of No Return" are my favorite Lance songs. I'm ready to get some real recordings of those. They sound really great plugged in and blasting through a speaker cabinet. Tongue You'd think it would get boring playing really long and simple songs like that... but they just have such a nice sound and flow while you're playing it. And you just go along with it and it goes by really quickly.

In "Broken Spirit" there is actually one part that feels like it drags on for way too long. Currently the song lasts about 15 minutes. I could maybe cut down a few minutes of it.

Come to think, "The Death of God" reminds me a LOT of one of the last songs I did for Derange.

Lance is back to a one piece. Ugh.

I NEED... a pianist, a female vocalist, a drummer, and a bass player.

Preferably that could do at least a FEW live shows. Not a full tour, just a show occasionally.

Scratch that last part, she said she is still interested in doing piano/vocals.

A bass player and drummer are still needed, though.

Pretty much just to record. Play a few occassional shows with the likes of Cuntworm, Dark Castle, and Galaxicon. Get equipment Ian, dawg. Come play with Lance live.

Don't you live in Mississippi? That could probably be arranged.

I'm up for playing bass, but I have to get some way of recording it besides a digital videocamera. What should I get?

Either arrange it so your parents don't care you're recording wherever the computer is or get a laptop. Thats pretty much the easiest thing to do. Like I said before, you could run chords however far you need if you want to record from a distance, but you need someone who could hit record for you and all that.

Oh. Just use a free program like Audacity. And buy a microphone. You can get a quarter inch adapter to plug it straight into your computer's mic port.

Any kind, really. If you've got an amp and a speaker cabinet. Doesn't have to be super great quality. A $50-60 one from Radioshack would do. That what I did all the GE recordings on. The one I have now is a $40 condensor. I got it from Musician's Friend. An MXL 990.

Apparently it's gone up in price.

I'll be getting a job this week, so I could probably have that in 2 weeks if I'm lucky.

How about the same info on an adapter?

Although, you could probably find one cheaper at Radioshack.

Yeah, it's just a little cheap piece of metal. You can generally find them in a pack of various jack related items for like $8. My headphones and amps/guitars usually come with them, too. So I've got several.
