I mentioned to someone at work that I was reading the Harry Potter books

They asked if I saw the newest movie that came out in theaters. I told her no because I had just bought that particular book and started reading it. And she asked me why I was reading them.

Now, from the way she said it... I knew she meant "Why are you reading them if there are movies of them?"

That's just crazy. I guess it shouldn't be surprising that there are people who would decide it's pointless to read a book if they can see the story in a movie, but damn...
