| I just started the original Metroid Prime... and uh... the motion controls are sucking horribly. It takes forever for me to turn around and I've turned sensitivity up. It took be like 20 minutes to beat the fucking hive boss because by the time I turned to face the bees, they were already rushing off to do their circle again.
What gives? _________________ Surrender to all Life Beyond Form Lance of Longinus on Bandcamp Noise Redemption Prophecy on Bandcamp Backloggery Profile |

| Probably because the original game wasn't built with motion controls in mind in the first place. |

| Do you not realize that Corruption was on the Wii with motion controls... and all they did was put the Metroid Prime shit in the Corruption format?
Anyway... Turning off free aim during lock on helps a bit. I'm still turning slow as shit, but I'm hitting more targets. I stopped after getting the Varia suit. It's going to be a hastle beating this games again. _________________ Surrender to all Life Beyond Form Lance of Longinus on Bandcamp Noise Redemption Prophecy on Bandcamp Backloggery Profile |

| So far, I haven't really been thinking much of the graphics. A lot of people have mentioned how the Wii is barely better than the Gamecube. I just finished the fight with Thardus in Prime. Man, that really made me appreciate the Wii a lot more. The colors in that fight are just beautiful. Maybe the polygons aren't a hell of a lot better, but the colors man... _________________ Surrender to all Life Beyond Form Lance of Longinus on Bandcamp Noise Redemption Prophecy on Bandcamp Backloggery Profile |

| The GameCube has great graphics to this day, IMO. The Wii is clearly better, but barely any games have utilized its capabilities. Super Mario Galaxy, however, is pure eye candy. It's not only technically great, but has a lot of artful and creative design as well.
I still think that Luigi's Mansion is one of the most gorgeous games ever made, but that has a lot to do with its style. Though it's not weak when it comes to the technical side of things, either. |

| I've only seen Luigi's Mansion played. And since the Prime games are the only ones on Gamecube that I own and wish to play... I haven't bothered buying a new Gamecube controller.
Have you gotten Trilogy yet? I saw that you said you bought it a while back on IGN. Don't know if you preordered from a store or online. _________________ Surrender to all Life Beyond Form Lance of Longinus on Bandcamp Noise Redemption Prophecy on Bandcamp Backloggery Profile |

| Preordered on Amazon and it shipped I think yesterday or the day before. So, near the end of the week it should be in, since I always do free shipping. If I didn't, I'd have thrown away hundreds of dollars in shipping fees by now, considering how often I buy things. I don't mind waiting a week or so.
Is there any way to play the first two games on the collection with a GameCube controller? I'll be a bit annoyed if the option isn't there. I know the option's there for RE4, but it's kind of hidden: you can't have anything plugged in the Wii remote in order for it to work. |

| Plugged in the Wiimote? But it's wireless. I'm fairly certain you can't use a gamecube controller. I can look in the manual to see if you'd like. _________________ Surrender to all Life Beyond Form Lance of Longinus on Bandcamp Noise Redemption Prophecy on Bandcamp Backloggery Profile |

| I meant in the bottom. :o It can't have a nunchuk or Classic Controller plugged in if a GC controller is to be used. |

| I'm not interested in the Trilogy, but the graphics have been updated for the Trilogy's release, with the addition of stuff like bloom lighting. I read this on the IGN boards. |

| Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.
I just spent like an hour or more wandering around because I got lost in Prime. And to think I could semi speed run this shit. I'm at 5 hours and just now getting to the Phazon Mines. Fucking Phazon Mines is what I got lost trying to find. All because I overlooked one damn door. _________________ Surrender to all Life Beyond Form Lance of Longinus on Bandcamp Noise Redemption Prophecy on Bandcamp Backloggery Profile |

| Just beat Metroid Prime moments ago. Don't know if they made it easier on this collection or what... but Ridley and Metroid Prime were a breeze. I remember having some difficulty with them on Gamecube.
I did hear on this video on the Nintendo channel on my Wii that Echoes was toned down a bit. So the Boost Ball Guardian is easier, thank god. Took me 7 tries and one Gamecube thrown across the room to beat that asshole. Seriously, hardest boss I've ever encountered on a video game. And he's close to the beginning! Ah... Echoes, here I come. _________________ Surrender to all Life Beyond Form Lance of Longinus on Bandcamp Noise Redemption Prophecy on Bandcamp Backloggery Profile |

| Difficulty is definitely toned down on Echoes. I beat the Boost Ball Guardian on the first try with no problems at all. _________________ Surrender to all Life Beyond Form Lance of Longinus on Bandcamp Noise Redemption Prophecy on Bandcamp Backloggery Profile |

| I heard on the IGN boards that some graphical effects were taken out of Prime 1, like rippling water and some cannon-related effects. They're intact in Prime 2 though.
Also, I might have said this in another thread, but a line in Metroid Prime 3 where someone says "Damn" is censored to "No". |
