This year seems to have a few good movies coming out. Anything in particular we're all looking forward to going to see? For me it'll be

The Watchmen
Dragonball
X Men Origins: Wolverine
Transformers 2
Terminator Salvation

Those are the only titles I know of that I'll be looking forward to in mainstream cinema. The remake of Friday 13th doesn't look too bad but I think I might wait till that comes out on dvd before I see it.

Dragonball? lololololol! I loved the cartoons, but the movie looks so assy. Anyways, I really want to see The Unborn, and Transformers 2. I dont know what else is coming out. But Transformers 2 is the one movie I have to see this year.

My expectations aren't that high for Dragonball but it could be a decent film if its done right.

If you count wide releases and not their initial limited releases, Gran Torino and The Wrestler look to be pretty cool '09 films that I gotta go see.

Coraline looks pretty boss. I'll go see The Princess and the Frog when it's out, just 'cos I'm kind of excited to see Disney doing hand-drawn animation again. But that unfortunately isn't out until Christmas...and Christmas just ended. Freaking A.

Other than that...I don't know. Can't really think of any other films I wanna see. Watchmen looks cool, so hopefully that'll be out this year, considering all the legal issues surrounding it.

OH! Hell yes! I just remembered that Sam Raimi's new movie, Drag Me to Hell, comes out this year, supposedly in the end of May. Really looking forward to that one, seeing Raimi go back to his horror comedy roots.

I just saw Changeling. I don't think an Eastwood movie can get any more sad than that. But maybe I'm wrong.

I agree about wearing contacts instead of glasses to 3D (or "RealD") flicks...except I don't have any contacts. The experience sucked my nuts.

But My Bloody Valentine 3D was all right. Honestly, when I heard "3D bewbz," I expected a whole lot more, like titties that ACTUALLY STICK OUT IN YOUR FACE or something. It was a pretty cool and funny extended nude scene, though.

Decent movie. Wasn't too great, but entertaining nonetheless.

The previews beforehand reminded me that I need to see Crank, because Crank 2 looks downright ridiculous. And I also wanna see Taken.

Ha, speaking of which I saw Crank for the first time on USA last Sunday (with their Football-withdrawl-rage-fest-with-jason-stathan-in-every-other-film-we'll-show-you-marathon. Included in such movie marathon was the movie chaose, which was pretty cool.

It was fun but not anything I feel I need to see again, though I'd still recommend it.

BTW, Gran Torino/X-Men Origins: Wolverine/The Watchmen (when all the legal stuff gets sorted......what a bunch of idiots WB is) are all so far what I care about, and I have no interest in seeing Gran Torino in theaters so.

Crank is a movie that needs to be watched on DVD uncut, not on USA network lol

Yeah you do need to see it again because I'm sure you only get to see 25% of the movie on USA. :p

Incidentally I saw the end of the movie on USA too myself, wasn't paying attention much though just wanted to see it in HD.

Public Enemies and Inglorious Bastards both look like good movies to see.

I can't remember if I've seen any new movies this year. I feel like I might have gone to the theater once or twice for something, but I'm not sure. Guess that's an indication of how much I've been into movies lately. I know I haven't seen anything that's been mentioned in this thread, though. I probably would like to see Inglorious Basterds, though, but I'm not super pumped for it or anything.
